(October 1, 2026) The REDUSE team is excited to announce that University Hospital of Wales at the Cardiff, Wales study site--its third international trial satellite--has begun actively recruiting patients. This initiation comes at an opportune time, when patient recruitment for the REDUSE trial continues to accelerate, having crossed the 50% target recruitment threshold earlier this summer.

As the teaching hospital of Cardiff University School of Medicine, University Hospital of Wales is engaged extensively in sepsis. In addition to providing sepsis care through its Emergency Unit, University Hospital of Wales is heavily promoting the research, diagnostics, training, and public awareness of sepsis and its management through two notable initiatives: Project Sepsis and the Sepsis Engagement Centre.

We warmly welcome our collaborators in the UK and look forward to their input and expertise as the REDUSE trial marches onward.
