REDUSE hits 50% of patient recruitment target

(June 15) Last month, the REDUSE trial passed a significant milestone by reaching 50% of its target for patient inclusion. This major threshold is an exciting development, as it reflects the interest in and need for an investigation of the requirement for non-resuscitation fluids in patients with septic shock.

In light of the recent acceleration in the activation of study sites throughout Sweden and Europe, this achievement is also encouraging, increasing the likelihood of the trial hitting its recruitment target by its estimated date (end of 2027).

The entire REDUSE team celebrates this watershed moment and expresses its gratitude to all of the team members, stakeholders, and, most importantly, patients who have made this trial possible.
