(August 5) On July 7, the REDUSE trial recruited its 1000th patient, marking an exciting milestone, occurring nearly three years into its launch. The REDUSE team is extremely proud of this accomplishment, which reflects the tireless dedication of the countless members who have made it possible.

This level of recruitment is particularly significant, given that patient inclusion is the largest hurdle of a clinical trial. Reaching an intermediate goal of 1000 suitable participants increases confidence that a study's results will be statistically valid and ensures that they will be generalizable to a broad population.

With ongoing recruitment at its current sites and the shortly anticipated activation of several international sites, this triumph bodes well for the REDUSE trial in meeting its recruitment target as planned by the end of 2027.
