REDUSE clinical trial protocol now published

The protocol for the REDUSE clinical trial was recently published in the August 2025 issue of Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica. The full article can be found here.

Through dissemination of how REDUSE will be conducted, this important milestone represents the trial's commitment to transparency and integrity. Notably, the protocol includes several environmental outcomes to measure the impact of the study on the climate and other environmental metrics. Undoubtedly driven by this rigor, the REDUSE protocol was accepted for publication immediately, without the need for any revisions.
