(December 20) Helsingborg Hospital has become the first hospital to collect biobank samples as part of the REDUSE trial.

Sites involved in the biobank part of the REDUSE trial will collect blood samples at three intervals: at inclusion, and on days 3 and 5 following randomization. These samples, processed and stored in regional biobanks, will facilitate future analysis of biomarkers. An analysis plan will be discussed with all collaborators.

Helsingborg Hospital sets the stage for other sites to follow, helping to improve understanding and care for patients with septic shock.
